3D optical digitizing

The 3D scanning technology offers
the possibility of transferring real parts:

  • exterior and interior parts for automotive,
    aerospace and other industry
  • engineering components
  • moulds, castings
  • art and historical objects, archaeology

into the virtual environment of the processing software.

Equipment options

Steinbichler Optotechnik T-SCAN 3:
Manual laser scanner, control unit with controllers,
probe, Optotrak.

  • space of measuring of parts: from 2 to 5 m
  • dimensions of parts: from 30 mm to 3 m in one measuring range
  • unlimited measuring of larger dimensions by means of the best-fit matching.
  • accuracy: 0.05 mm
  • density of points: 0.07 line: 0.1 mm
  • laser beam 90 mm
  • measuring of individual points by means of the probe
  • mobility (transport of the equipment in a passenger car)

SW PolyWorks:

  • On-line scanning of clouds of points
    and their subsequent modification
  • transfers to STL polygonal networks, editing
  • design, rapid manufacturing, reverse
    engineering
  • import, export of various CAD formats.

3D fully parametric modelling by means of SolidWorks software – the input consists of scanning data, drawings, sketches…
